Valley Girl? Meet Playboy

Playboy.com has decided that yours truly is one of the hottest women bloggers, which sadly probably gives my husband better bragging rights than all my stodgy journalism awards put together! Considering a lot of my favorite women bloggers are also on the list, I consider it a high compliment and good company! Not surprisingly, Miss Natali Del Conte is leading the poll for the favorite. But thanks to any of that 4% who voted for me! Given how much Tech Ticker commenters like to criticize my clothes or tell me how fat my arms are looking from time-to-time, it's nice that someone finds me attractive even if I'm just an old married woman and a boring business journalist at heart!

My only question: Where's Julia Allison on this list?

I voted for you, Sarah. I noticed some of these girls aren't really famous for "blogging," but are rather online video celebs. I wonder why Lindsay Campbell (MobLogic.tv and formally WallStrip) and Cali Lewis (geekbrief.tv) weren't included -- not that they would particularly want to be or anything. I have to say, I'm a big fan of you, Veronica, Natali, Sarah and Amanda. But mostly for their podcasts -- not blogs.

I voted for you as well. That turtleneck is one of the hottest things I've seen on a lady in a long time. Can't wait to read your book!

"Brilliant, Crazy, Cocky" puts a well-deserved spotlight on the fascinating entrepreneurs working in some of the most overlooked places on Earth. This book reminds us that when entrepreneurial opportunity is enabled and embraced locally, the economic and social benefits have the power to transform us all.
Brilliant. Crazy. Cocky.

New Book

An unforgettable portrait of the emerging world's entrepreneurial dynamos Brilliant, Crazy, Cocky is the story about that top 1% of people who do more to change their worlds through greed and ambition than politicians, NGOs and nonprofits ever can. This new breed of self-starter is taking local turmoil and turning it into opportunities, making millions, creating thousands of jobs and changing the face of modern entrepreneurship at the same time. To tell this story, Lacy spent forty weeks traveling through Asia, South America and Africa hunting down the most impressive up-and-comers the developed world has never heard of....yet.
