Me, Wine, Valerie
Here's an interview I did for BuzzLogic's Vino Diaries podcast. The audio is a little awkward-- Guessing my mic job on my turtleneck was part of the problem so my apologies! I love that they actually LET you drink on this podcast, unlike Happy Hour where they only pretend!
Enjoy!

New Book
An unforgettable portrait of the emerging world's entrepreneurial dynamos Brilliant, Crazy, Cocky is the story about that top 1% of people who do more to change their worlds through greed and ambition than politicians, NGOs and nonprofits ever can. This new breed of self-starter is taking local turmoil and turning it into opportunities, making millions, creating thousands of jobs and changing the face of modern entrepreneurship at the same time. To tell this story, Lacy spent forty weeks traveling through Asia, South America and Africa hunting down the most impressive up-and-comers the developed world has never heard of....yet.

"The VC industry is like the music industry." Powerful statement, but very true. Its just a matter of efficient economics - we're removing all the friction in the transactions. As entrepreneurs, either we don't need funding because of neglible startup costs or we can directly access funding without the attached VC costs/innefficiencies or sweater-vests ;-)
Perhaps crowd-sourced funding will take off in the near future as well.
