Landed in London
Hello everyone!
I landed, had some tea and am settled into my hotel in London. In a few hours I am going to meet Robert Loch who has been billed to me as the "king networker" of London's start up scene. True to kingly form, he's apparently invited some 20 people to dinner to meet me! That's quite a welcome! I hope my slightly jet-lagged self doesn't disappoint. I have faith that a glass of wine and adrenaline will revive me nicely.
I had planned on snapping away with my little canon digital tonight and posting some photos on this blog, but idiot that I am I forgot my camera BATTERY and charger at home. I don't know how. I feel like i grabbed every wire and piece of electronics in the house before leaving. So upset! (Which reminds me.... at what point exactly did I start packing more electronics and gadgets than shoes?)
So I'm trying to get the energy to hike to Calumet half a mile away to see if they have a replacement. Groan.
At any rate, expect a post before I go to sleep on my first impressions of entrepreneurship in London!

New Book
An unforgettable portrait of the emerging world's entrepreneurial dynamos Brilliant, Crazy, Cocky is the story about that top 1% of people who do more to change their worlds through greed and ambition than politicians, NGOs and nonprofits ever can. This new breed of self-starter is taking local turmoil and turning it into opportunities, making millions, creating thousands of jobs and changing the face of modern entrepreneurship at the same time. To tell this story, Lacy spent forty weeks traveling through Asia, South America and Africa hunting down the most impressive up-and-comers the developed world has never heard of....yet.
