Bit of Housekeeping, er Blogkeeping

I'm wrapping up my first month blogging. It was actually short of a month (I started April 4 I think) and FAR outpaced my expectations! I am really looking forward to building on the momentum with some more regular features to be rolled out in May. Also, with my book coming out, I'd like to start some discussion feeds for people reading it who want more info, have questions or just want to talk about it. I LOVE talking to people about it and have had such a great time doing so with the handful who have read it already. So stay tuned....

In terms of housekeeping, two things:

1. Asking Paisano to write a post about delicious was totally a spur of the moment thing, that sprung from a Twitter comment. But as you can see from the debate, it's worked out great! As much as I obsess about tech companies, I am really a business reporter first and foremost, so I would love to have other guest posts in the future about topics where I'm not an expert, but it's of interest to a general business/tech reader. Also, always happy to have guest posts from insiders at companies, as long as they are interesting and constructive to starting a substantive dialog. Even though it's called sarahlacy.com-- it's not all about me here.

2. The best surprise so far has been the comments!! I love the debate and interaction happening there! Let's please keep it substantive. I see so many platforms become inappropriate as they get larger and I just want to go on notice to say I will delete any comments containing personal attacks so just don't leave 'em. Disagree with me or anyone else all you want, but keep it above the belt, y'all. It's gotten to the point where I can't read comments on other blogs, and sadly, on Tech Ticker because they are so juvenile, spammy or cruel. I really want to have a forum to interact with smart people around the Web, so I'm going to be a little protective of it.

Sarah, I'm really looking to reading your book. I briefly had a galley, lent it to an editor and haven't gotten it back. Serves me right. I'll buy it. Steve

Sarah,

Looking forward to the book and wish I could be there when you debut it to us in SF.

Are the discussion feeds going to be on this blog? Or in forums? I'm not sure I understand that part.

thanks Steve! humbled to see you commenting on my blog!

@dave: i'm not sure i understand it either! i'm weighing the two. leaning towards just having a discuss the book tab and posting some thought provoking subjects or questions every few days. would love to accept guest posts on the book too.
